New booking policy and cancellation terms
We have recently changed from credit card capture to 50% deposit payments when making a booking.
We are sorry for any inconvenience this causes but we have experienced a large amount of new bookings being made with obsolete credit cards and as a result have been unable charge the cancellation fee when people don't turn up, to prevent this from having any further dangerious impact on the business we have had to change to this new system.
We have also changed our cancellation &/or rescheduling period to 48 hours and now send our appointment reminders 72 hours prior your appointment. If you cancel or request to reschedule within 48 hours of the start of your appointment you will be charged a 50% fee. If you cancel (or request to re-schedule) within two hours of the start time of your treatment the appointment may be billed at the full cost of the service.
Salons are often shy to share why these terms are in place as our industry has always centred around preserving privacy, but one very significant reason is that it takes more than one person to perform you treatment, much like a trip to the theatre, many hands have made a soloists performance possible. we will always do our best to fill cancelled appointments but for last minute cancellations but for those we cannot, the charges are there to ensure we are able to pay everyone that makes the appointment happen.
We know that this may seem unfair to many and we are monitoring the situation and appreciate your support while we are trying to navigate this difficult time.
