Syringoma are completely harmless, benign sweat duct tumours which appear under the eye and usually appear symmetrically. They appear as 1-3 mm bumps under the skin and can be flesh or creamy coloured.

This condition is neither harmful nor painful, but larger deposits can cause some people distress. We do not not judge your choices or reasons for having blemishes removed, not liking them is reason enough!

 

It is important to note that we can only treat around one eye at a time, so it will take at least two visits to clear the condition, and that each blemish will scab after treatment, so please plan your visits to ensure they do not clash with important events.

 

Our head aesthetician has over 30 years experience and is trained and approved by Sterex International, who provide the highest level of training for medical, dental and aesthetic practitioners.

 

All conditions require a test treatment and the initial consultation will guide you through everything you need to know about the treatment, how to care for the area after treatment, the treatment pathway and the outcome you can expect.

During your consultation you will also be given a homecare pack with sterile dressings (where indicated), aftercare lotion and soothing gels as part of your treatment and monitored during your healing process.

 

We can only treat one eye at a time so you will need at least one more follow on appointment to allow both eyes to be treated and your clinician will guide you on how long it will need to be.

 

Follow on appointments are required for this condition and your practitioner will advise you of the correct length of appointment to book.

 

Is it important to note that while in many cases complete removal can be achieved we cannot guarantee that everyone will have the same results, each person will heal differently and it is important to remember that there may, in some cases, still be some discolouration after treatment.
