How should I prepare for a treatment?
From 8 weeks prior
- No deep facial peels
- No laser resurfacing or ablative treatments
- No RF treatments
- No Dermabrasion treatments
From 6 weeks prior
- No Sculptra or Radiesse fillers
From 4 weeks prior
- No IPL treatements
- No Laser treatments
- No Electrolysis treatments
From 2 weeks prior
- No Hyaluronic or Vital Hydrate Fillers
- No Botox/Botulinum Toxin treatments
- No microdermabrasion treatment
- No superficial peels AHA or BHA
- No electrolysis, Laser or IPL hair removal
From 1 week prior
- Stop all tretinoin and retinoid use (If skin has had time to acclimatise to the product for 8 weeks prior to this point)
- All forms of hair removal such as waxing, shaving, plucking and depilatory creams etc
- Fake tan (this includes both manual and spray applications)
How do I care for my skin afterwards?
Your first visit includes a Juliette Armand post treatment skincare kit, worth £150, which provides you with everything you need to care for your skin post treatment. After two to three days you can return to your regular skin care routine.
You will also need to comply with the following steps to ensure the best results possible;
For 48 hours after treatment
- Avoid excercise and intensive activity
- Avoid hot showers and baths
- Avoid steam rooms and saunas
- Avoid wearing make-up
- Avoid active skincare such as AHA's, BHA's, benzoyl peroxide and chemical sunscreen
- Avoid all clinical and beauty treatments e.g. IPL, RF, Laser, facials, dermaplaning etc
- Drink plenty of water
- Avoid swimming
- Avoid tattooing
For two weeks after treatment
- Avoid alcohol based toners
- Do not apply fake tan for at least 2-3 weeks
- No electrolysis, Laser or IPL hair removal
For the duration of your treatment program and beyond
Avoid UV exposure (but particularly for 10 days after treatment), wear an SPF and do not use sunbeds
Oral supplements can benefit the skin greatly and assist with the results of this treatment, omega 3, vitamin C and glucosamine are recommended to support your treatment, but please always seek medical advice prior to commencing a new dietery or supplement regime.
